An appointment with Dr. Shallcross consists of a clinical interview to include family members as appropriate, and single visit targeted neuropsychological assessment of ADHD. As accurate diagnosis is essential to effective medication management and treatment, personality assessment instruments will also completed by the patient to screen for psychiatric mood/behavior disorder(s) that may be contributory or primary.
A formal written report of the evaluation including diagnosis and recommendation will be reviewed with the patient/family and faxed to the referring provider if requested. Dr. Shallcross will recommend providers for medication management and/or therapy upon request. Physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants will prescribe medication for ADHD based upon the findings of this report.
Dr. Shallcross will complete forms requesting ADHD accommodations for schools and universities with diagnosis, specific recommendations and report.
Dr. Shallcross is a doctoral level licensed clinical psychologist with degrees from Yale University, University of California at Berkeley and the University of Hartford. Dr. Shallcross specializes in ADHD Evaluation and Diagnosis .
For over 30 years he has provided psychological testing and neuropsychological screening for differential diagnosis of children, adolescents and adults in addition to testing for ADHD. He receives referrals from prominent Atlanta area psychiatrists, pediatricians, PCPs, Nurse Practitioners, therapists, schools and universities.
Dr. Shallcross’ evaluations are clinically focused and are therefore covered by insurance. Prior to an appointment your insurance company will be contacted by our staff and you will be informed of any deductible, co-pay or co-insurance for your policy and will know exactly what you will owe (if anything) before you meet with Dr. Shallcross.
Self-pay fees are available as are payment plans.
